Soybean Planting Date Recommendations

The link below takes you to maps that are based on the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) publication Climatography of the United States. The maps summarize observations from selected Mississippi weather stations over a 30-year period. The selected weather stations are in varied environments, and data from each location are accurate for that location and should be used as a guide for determining when to plant soybeans based on your acceptance of a chance that frost may occur after a certain seven-day interval. Recommendations are to plant as soon as you are comfortable accepting a chance of a frost occurring after emergence.
