Dr. Larry Falconer, Extension Ag. Economist at the DREC in Stoneville, has developed two MS Excel templates that are designed to be decision support aids for producers to compare options related to updating base acres and distributing generic base acres for the Price Loss Coverage and Agricultural Risk Coverage programs in the Agricultural Act of 2014. These tools will be updated with forthcoming final regulations from USDA.


These two files are provided to assist in the calculations for 1) outcomes of base reallocation and 2) “generic” base acre distribution.
