EPA news release about dicamba use in soybeans

U.S. soybean producers got some good news recently. On July 23, 2025, the US-EPA announced that it is releasing for public comment its proposed registration for dicamba products that can be applied over-the-top to dicamba-tolerant soybean. This action includes the agency’s proposal of several mitigation measures to protect non-target plant species, and animal species that are on the endangered species list. The agency is allowing a 30-day period for interested parties to comment on this proposed registration of a valuable tool that soybean producers can use to manage broadleaf weeds, especially those that are resistant to other classes of herbicides.
