Request for 2013 Project Proposals

Next month, the MSPB will re-start the annual process of soliciting proposals for research and/or extension activities that will address gaps in our knowledge of how to produce more and better soybeans with fewer inputs and less expense.

Solicited proposals fall into two categories.

●          A request for funding for continuation of current projects that need additional time to provide definitive results for the stated objectives, and

●          A request for funding for new projects that have the potential to provide results and/or information that will solve new or recently identified problems not previously studied.

The second category needs input from all segments of the Mississippi soybean industry. So, I am asking for your help in identifying those problems that you believe can be solved with sound research, or that need coordinated technology transfer activities to help producers find and access information that might be useful in solving problems that already have been addressed by previous research and/or extension activities.

If you have ideas or suggestions about soybean production problems that need attention and that can be addressed by MSPB-funded activities, please let me know by contacting me at the below email address.

I thank you in advance for your participation in this endeavor that hopefully will continue to lead to problem-solving results for Mississippi soybean producers.
