Objectives
The objective is to determine soil physical and chemical properties that cause yield response differences to immobile nutrient applications within fields. If we can better understand what causes spatial variability of nutrient responses to occur, we can make our fertilizer recommendations more accurate, and increase our nutrient use efficiency.
Expected End Results
Understanding additional soil physical/chemical characteristics that lead to variable nutrient responses will allow researchers at Mississippi State University to provide better fertilizer recommendations for producers across the state. recommendations for producers across the state.
