This Soybean Management Fact Sheet provides a summary of Best Management Practices that can help Mississippi farmers be more successful in their soybean-growing operation. The highlighted practices are proven to contribute to higher yields in both research environments and producers’ fields. These BMPs are a compilation of results from MSPB-funded research and experiment station and extension projects. With each practice, farmers will find a certain rationale for why they should consider using it. This may be expressed through a yield advantage or promoted to protect the growing crop and improve the quality of the harvested seed.
