The Miss. State University Agricultural Economics Department has planned workshops related to the 2014 Farm Bill. These workshops will be held in December at seven locations throughout the state.

At these workshops, detailed information about the new “covered commodity” programs (ARC and PLC), new crop insurance products (SCO and STAX), available decision aids, and how the bill relates to farm risk management will be presented and discussed.

This is a great opportunity for Mississippi soybean producers to find out how the Farm Bill provisions will affect their operation, and how they can be used as a component of overall farm planning.
