2014 Farm Bill Seminars--Feb. 2015

The Miss. State University Agricultural Economics Department has planned a new set of workshops related to the 2014 Farm Bill. These workshops will be held in February 2015 at six locations throughout the state. Additionally, an interactive video session will be conducted in the afternoon of Monday, Feb. 16 in the Bost Extension Building on the MSU campus.

At these workshops, detailed information about the new “covered commodity” programs (ARC and PLC), new crop insurance products (SCO and STAX), and available decision aids will be presented. New analysis and information in addition to the that presented at the December 2014 seminars will be presented and discussed.

These will be the last meetings related to the 2014 Farm Bill that will be coordinated by the MSU Extension Service.

This is a great opportunity for Mississippi soybean producers to find out how the Farm Bill provisions will affect their operation, and how they can be used as a component of overall farm planning.

Registration for each workshop is requested. For dates, times, locations, and online registration links for the seminars, click here.
