Breeding & Genetics Terminology Link
My heartfelt thanks to Dr. Vincent Pantalone, Professor and Soybean Breeder in the UT Plant Sciences Dept., for his co-authorship. His expertise in this area was invaluable in the composition of the article.
In the coming months, I will be posting a series of articles on genetically-modified (GM) crop plants. These articles will be a presentation of how GM crops have been and will continue to be a positive force in the increased production of food, feed, and fiber that will be necessary to support a growing global population. Their content will also outline how GM crops have and will continue to contribute to sound environmental stewardship practices that will be increasingly required of agricultural production systems.
