MSPB Supports February Irrigation Meetings in Mississippi
The blog posted on this site on Jan. 13 contains dates and locations for these meetings and a list of speakers and their topics. There is also a signup link to ensure that persons wanting to attend can be assured a spot.
The MSPB is taking the lead in supporting and funding activities associated with these meetings. The MSPB staff is soliciting sponsors to fund meals and refreshments. The MSPB contractor, Osborn Barr, has done the major work in getting the word out via web postings, emails, direct mailings, and popular press articles. These activities underscore the MSPB’s commitment to promoting irrigation water conservation in the state.
With the MSPB’s support of these meetings and associated amenities, the potential for their success is significantly enhanced. This is just another way that Mississippi soybean farmers’ checkoff monies are being used to promote activities that will enhance sustainable soybean production in the state.
