New Stoneville Weather Norms

Today, Mark Silva of the DREC Weather Center at Stoneville informed me of the following.

New Stoneville weather normals that use more recent 30-year average data have been posted on the DREC Weather Center site. You can access these updated data norms by doing the following.

Go to the DREC Weather site, go to Historical Ag Weather Data, then choose Archived Weather Data.

On the pull-down menu, choose Stoneville2010norms, then view all data. At this time, only Max and Min temps and rainfall are updated. Mark is working on adding updates of the other parameters. [The Stonevillenormals2010 that you will still see on the menu does not contain any data.]

The previous Stoneville normals are still on the site under Stonevillenorms. They can be used to compare the previous norms with the newly added norms.

If you have questions about any of this, contact Mark at 662-686-3295 (office), 662-347-0575 (cell), or marks@drec.msstate.edu.
