Soybean Yield Loss to Diseases in the Midsouthern US
It is common knowledge that disease and nematode pests cause significant losses in soybean production in the Midsouth. Estimates to quantify those losses are invaluable to producers as they make decisions about which pests to look for, and to researchers as they prioritize soybean pest control research.
Each year members of the Southern Soybean Disease Workers Group conduct a survey in individual southern states to estimate yield losses to soybean disease and nematode pests in those states. Results for Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, and Tennessee for the 2011-2015 period can be accessed here.
