Updated Soybean Disease Calendars for 2016
A recent post on the Mississippi Crop Situation blog site provides timely information for producers as they move beyond soybean planting and into enhancing/protecting yield potential by managing diseases that are known to reduce yield and/or seed quality.
In an article entitled “Updated Soybean Disease Calendars for MG IV and MG V Soybean”, Dr. Tom Allen, Plant Pathologist at MSU’s DREC, has compiled tables of calendar dates/growth stages when the more common and recognizable diseases that affect soybeans grown in Mississippi are likely to occur. The dates of anticipated occurrence are based on the most common planting date range used for MG IV and MG V soybean varieties in the state. Click here for Dr. Allen’s narrative introduction and the calendars combined into one post.
