Objectives
- Continue a modified version of the plot level study to evaluate an additional seeding rate
- Determine the best variables for delineating IDC management zones for site specific management of IDC
- Evaluate the costs and benefits of site-specific management of IDC on three different soybean fields
- Share project results with producers and stakeholder groups
Expected End Results
We are excited to combine promising research results from previous studies that have been conducted both outside the state and within the state and implement recommended management practices with variety selection and precision management for IDC in a production setting. This project will evaluate the yield benefits along with the economic costs and benefits of site-specific management for IDC in production soybean fields. It is expected that results from this project will improve whole-field yields for all soybean fields affected by IDC.
